Planning Meeting Summary 11/13/24

The planning committee presented a revised overlay that removed just over 1200 acres from the solar overlay map. Currently, parcels that have any amount of mining on them are still included, even if there are hundreds of acres of virgin soil in the parcel and only a few acres of mining.

The ordinance shows changes regarding the glare levels allowed in specific areas and rewords some of the slope requirements/exclusions for solar arrays.

The committee motioned to recommend both to the supervisors (meeting on 11/19 at 7:00pm).
